The Nutcracker rides the Trinity Railway Express and tours DART's newest stations as the production moves from Bass Hall to Fair Park

The Nutcracker's promenade from Fort Worth to Dallas was on the Trinity Railway Express, Monday morning, December 23. This marked the opening of six Dallas performances of the popular holiday ballet following a successful run at Fort Worth's Bass Hall.

The Nutcracker and Clara arrived at Dallas' Union Station and transferred to DART Rail prior to the opening of Fort Worth Dallas Ballet's The Nutcracker in the Music Hall that evening.


In full costume, they greeted customers at DART's Union, Downtown Plano and Park Lane stations and rode DART trolley buses to Collin Creek Mall and North Park Center. Contests, trinkets, free tickets, songs, stories and fun were the program for train riders, local ballet groups and mall shoppers.


There are six Dallas performances of The Nutcracker in the Music Hall at Fair Park:

• Monday, December 23 at 8:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, December 24 at 2:00 p.m.
• Thursday, December 26 at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
• Friday, December 27 at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
