DART holding public hearing on TRE fare boundary

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will receive public input on a westward shift in the current Trinity Railway Express fare boundary during a hearing on Tuesday, August 24, 6:30 p.m., in the DART Board Room at DART Headquarters in Downtown Dallas (Akard Station).

Currently, customers traveling to CentrePort from Dallas County stations pay a Regional Fare, and customers from Tarrant County pay a System Fare. Under the proposal, the trip from either county to CentrePort/DFW Station would be a System Fare. The Regional Fare Day Pass is currently $7.50 and the System Fare Day Pass is $5.

The fare boundary move is proposed to equalize fare options for both Dallas and Tarrant County customers.
