DART operates over 130 local and express bus routes serving Addison, Carrollton, Cockrell Hill, Dallas, Farmers Branch, Garland, Glenn Heights, Highland Park, Irving, Richardson, Rowlett, Plano and University Park.
The DART Rail System provides fast, convenient service to work, shopping and entertainment destinations in Dallas, Garland, Plano, Richardson, Farmers Branch, Carrollton, Irving and Rowlett. Plus, our TRE commuter line links DART customers to DFW International Airport and Downtown Fort Worth.
Free parking is available at most rail stations and served by DART bus routes specially timed to make transfers between buses and trains quick and easy.
DART PROVIDES
- Rail System: There is one style of rail vehicle available.
» DART Rail light rail trains run mostly at-grade, with some aerial street crossings, some median running, and 3.2 miles of subway tunnel. Overhead wires called "catenaries" power the light rail trains.

» Trinity Railway Express (TRE) commuter rail trains are diesel-powered, operating on a fixed right-of-way stretching between downtown Dallas and Fort Worth with some grade crossings.

HOW DO YOU GET STARTED?
- Call DART Film Coordinator Lupe Hernandez (at least a week in advance) to discuss your project at
214-749-2597. - Fax a Letter of Intent, along with your script, storyboard or concept detailing how and when you want to use our services.
In addition, you will need to provide:
• purpose of shooting (i.e. - name of product or persons you are shooting)
• Producer and Director names
• number of crew and talent total
• list of equipment for shoot (no generators, we will provide electricity)
• location or locations you would like to shoot

3. DART's Image: Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), its employees or agents must not be presented in a negative light. In general, filming and photography must not portray public transportation as an unsafe and dangerous environment. Filming must not include scenes that contain the following: suicide; attempted suicide by train; pushing someone onto the tracks; recreation of real life traumatic and violent events (i.e., train crash, murders, etc.); a scene which endangers others through potential copycat action; and explicit scenes such as sexual activity or assault on transit property. |
